Hi all! If you've made it to this page, you probably have a Boston Terrier or a Boxer that's looking for fame and fortune (well, fame anyway!) and I'd like to help! My name is Patti Meador, and I'm the artist behind Bostons & Boxers by Design and the Zazzle shop Boston Terriers and Boxers by Design..
I'm in desperate need of some new models! Though I could look at my Buster (Boston Terrier) and Buddy (Boxer) forever, I'm sure that with all the diversity of looks in the breeds, some folks would love to see more of them represented! I'm open to good photos of ALL Boston Terrier and Boxer colors! i'm also in desperate need of photos of other breeds!

(see tips below) and attach the LARGEST photo available (not resized small for the web). Be sure to leave 'make my baby a star!' in the subject line.
Please also include your name and address (if you want a signed print of the final design and photo credit!), pet's name, and the URL to any website you'd like me to link to. I make NO GUARANTEE that your photo will be used, and photos will be chosen at my discretion. I receive MANY photos of adorable dogs, but that doesn't mean they'll sell. I should also mention that I am a chronic pain sufferer (see here if you're curious about the details) and my time on the computer is very limited, so don't be discouraged if you don't hear from me right away. It literally takes me days and more often weeks to finish a design depending on what I'm going for, so I'm pretty selective about what I start with.
For any photo I use (the clearer and cleaner the photo, the less 'work' I'll have to do and the better the chance I'll use it!) I'll give full photo credit (ie. original photo courtesy your name, etc), a link to your website if you have one, and a signed, printed 8 1/2 x 11" copy of the finished design. You can also order any item from my store with the design at COST (See about my Zazzle shop here). I'd love to be able to send free t-shirts to everyone that submits a photo, but since I don't actually OWN Zazzle and have to buy the items in my own shop as well, I can't afford to do that on my disability income ;-)
TERMS:By submitting a photo, you are certifying that you own the rights to this photo (sorry, I can't accept a photo your Aunt Tillie took without her permission as well), and are giving me full permission to develop an original art work using your photo and to use it as I see fit (on my website and/or Zazzle shop). You retain full copyright to your photo (I willnot use your photo as is, but do an original work from it), and I retain copyright to the resulting design.
I will send you a signed copy of the resulting design to do with as you please...you can keep it, sell it, etc., you CANNOT however claim ownership, sell rights to, or reproduce the design for anything butpersonaluse.
I need photos straight off the digital camera or scanner. The photo should be clear (not blurry) and be fairly free of background noise (knick knacks, people, etc). I can erase backgrounds if the dog is exceptional, but it's a LOT of work, and will only do so if the capture warrants it. To see the MINIMUM size the photo must be, click here and a pop up window will open (you may need to disable popup blocker). After you've viewed the file, you can simply close it to return to this page.THIS IS THE SIZE (or even larger!) that I'm looking for (be sure to click on the photo to see full size).
A good rule of thumb is that if you right click on the photo and choose properties, the file size should read MB, not kb, and when you open it to full size, if it fits within your monitor screen without scrolling, it's too small :-(.
Believe me, I've received some GORGEOUS photos from people that I'd love to have used, but since I'm not talented enough to actually paint with physical paint and brush, I depend on the size of the file and couldn't use them. IF however you have a nice small photo you'd like to share, send it here
, and I'd be happy to play with it and add it to the ecards site! These photos are available to guests of this website, but used for NO other purpose!
****ONE LAST NOTE If you email a photo, you MUST state your intention in doing so, or I'll consider it a 'look at my cute babies!' gesture. I get a lot of photos from people that just want to share, and that's GREAT, I love to see them, but I would neverconsider using them for my art! You must grant me permission to do so.
